NOVAC Going HD Panel

Some things that were reinforced and learned at last night's NOVAC Going HD Panel.

First off, talk to your DP before you pick a camera. Discuss what you want to shoot and how you want to shoot. Then decide on the best camera for the job.

Have a post-schedule set up early. Best bet would be to set one up in preproduction once you have decided on a camera. Different cameras have different requirements. And post is where your movie comes together. It is too important to just let it be done haphazardly or as an afterthought.

There was a good crowd for the NOVAC Going HD Panel. I would have liked to have seen it packed, but we are working to it. Slowly but surely we will created a film culture in New Orleans.
